All those Colonel’s, and Generals going around saying “you know, I just love soldiers, it’s important for leaders to love soldiers”, are full of crap. They love soldiers who help them get promoted by getting blown away in a highly efficient manner that makes the General look good. Other than that, not so much.

The generals and such have no control over this. They, and other ranking military and lower ranks, universally despise the VA.

In the article it states: “Even though his retirement date was Nov. 27, 2013, just last week he was told by someone at the Florida VA office that he still needs to wait anywhere from 2 to 15 more months to start receiving his pay”

That is not what you may think it means.

He receiving his Army retirement pay. He is waiting for the VA, you know, the CIVILIAN monstrosity run by civilians, to process his VA disability claim. The military has no control or influence over the VA.

When she writes; “While we are still under the ARMY’s umbrella,” this means the Army is paying him the same retirement as everyone else with the same time and grade.

He receives retirement pay now. Taxable. He is waiting for his non-taxable disability pay where his taxable portion will be reduced by the amount of disability he receives. (But with his elevated rating he may receive his Army pay in addition to the VA disability pay).

What we are seeing here is VA sloth by CIVILIANS that run and process claims. The military do not process the claims.

Just to be clear. . .direct your anger at the VA, not the Army or generals or whoever else you blame other than the VA.

And one wonders, why she and he have not contacted their congressman for assistance. I did and it moved things along quickly.

By the way, soldiers dying under your command does not make generals or colonels or anyone in a leadership position “look good.” It has the opposite effect, actually.

I guess you have a lot of experience with “All those Colonel’s, and Generals” and how they really feel, huh?

Please outline your vast military experience that justifies your making such a sweeping, uninformed statement..
