MSNBC Blasts Paralyzed Pro-Lifer Greg Abbott’s “Matchstick-Thin Legs”
life news ^ | Steven Ertelt

Posted on 03/08/2014 8:17:15 AM PST by Morgana

Fresh from his becoming the republican nominee for governor in the Lone Star State, Greg Abbott is now the subject of attack by left-wing cable television station MSNBC. The liberal “news network” is following friends of Wendy Davis in going after the pro-life Texas gubernatorial candidate over his physical disability.

The Truth Revolt web site reports on MSNBC’s horrible comment:

GregAbbott5On Friday, MSNBC reporter Zachary Roth described Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott, who is paralyzed from the waist down, this way:

The simple sight of him in his wheelchair—matchstick-thin legs dangling in front of him as he maneuvers himself around—is enough to set him apart from the parade of conservative Republican white men who talk about helping the job creators and seem never to have suffered a day in their lives.

The description of Abbott’s “matchstick-thin legs” is incredible; MSNBC would never use a similar description with regard to, for example, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, nor would MSNBC describe the physical infirmities of Rep. Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) in such demeaning terms. But from the same network that routinely sings odes to State Sen. Wendy Davis, Abbott’s opponent, it’s no surprise, even though the article discusses Abbott’s “spine of steel.”

At age 26, Abbott was struck by a falling oak tree that injured his back as he jogged by. He has used a wheelchair ever since and has become an eloquent pro-life advocate — speaking up for both the disabled and the unborn. The accident serves as a reminder that regardless of someone’s circumstances, he or she deserves a chance at life, Abbott has said.

CLICK LIKE IF YOU’RE PRO-LIFE!

“As I laid there motionless on the ground, gripped with pain, as helpless as a child in the womb, I knew my life had changed forever,” he said at the National Right to Life convention in June. “Some people think it’s easy to write off the lives of the disabled or the different. But every day, God reminds us that all life has value, no matter the form.”

No one is making fun of that alien lifeform that’s taken up residence on ‘Windy’s’ left cheek.

I don’t watch it so I can bitch about it. I watch it because it’s the best comedy on TV. Unfortunately afterwards I cry because I am so happy that people with that severe of mental retardation can create a television show.

They truly are courageous and I am happy the network gives them a forum to perform.

MSNBC.com’s Zachary Roth Continues to Scare Readers Surrounding Voter ID Laws

Ever since MSNBC launched its sister website MSNBC.com, writer Zachary Roth has been obsessed with new voting laws, and has consistently demonized GOP-sponsored legislation as a form of voter suppression. Roth’s latest piece, published on January 28th, continued MSNBC’s scare tactics surrounding popular voter ID laws.

The title of Roth’s article fretted that the “GOP wants to change Missouri constitution for voter ID” and the MSNBC author made it clear once again where he stood on the issue of requiring voters to show a photo ID to vote.

Roth said that in Missouri:

How to Finish off
the GOP Machine

The Machiavellian case for public financing of elections.

By Zachary Roth

Without really asking for it, then, Democrats have been given a mandate by voters to clean up Washington. Rather than running with it, however, the party is poised once again to check the box on corruption. Democratic leaders have announced that, in their first 100 hours in office, they’ll introduce an ethics- and lobbying-reform package that would ban lobbyist-financed gifts, meals, and travel; mandate disclosure of all member contacts with lobbyists; and address the problem of earmarks by requiring that the sponsors of funding for home-state pet projects be identified, among other steps. These measures are a clear improvement on the toothless approach embraced by congressional Republicans in the wake of the Jack Abramoff scandal last year. But few seriously believe that they get to the heart of Washington’s influence problem. That problem will exist as long as elected officials must raise large amounts of money to run for office from the organized economic interests they’re supposed to be regulating. That’s why any serious effort to clean up Washington must break the connection between money and elections.

MSNBC Attacks Greg Abbott: “It’s hard to turn a guy in a wheelchair into a villain”

In a shocking display of cruelty, MSNBC’s Zachary Roth attacked Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott in an article under the headline: “No One Pushes Greg Abbott Around.” Abbott, who is in a wheelchair, is the Republican gubernatorial candidate running against Wendy Davis.

MSNBC’s Roth goes on to write, “Put simpler: It’s hard to turn a guy in a wheelchair into a villain—no matter his record.”

The Left mocked John McCain’s Viet Cong broken arms and Bob Dole’s injured hand as well.

But if you point out that Abortion Barbie has had beauty work done, you are considered a misogynist.

Another day, another upcoming, forced, fake apology.

Hey, thought experiment: In the last 2 years, how many times has Fox been forced to apologize for their heinous comments?

Okay, how many times for MSNBC?

I know we’re all used to it by now, but I thought the disparaging lefty observation of the white maleness of the GOP crowd was worse than the matchstick comment.

When those who have no compassion or empathy disgrace the physical outward appearance of anyone, it is a rejection of the deformities within themselves.

Democrats and liberals need no further than to look in the mirror to find corruption and the problem with our government.

Indeed. Looks like Bubba’s going to be spending his time with that Grimes woman in KY. She’s better looking than Wendy and actually has a chance of competing against the feckless McConnell.
