Speaking of climate change, Joe Bastardi says we MAY get a nice snow storm Wednesday night into Thursday...but even if NO snow end of March into early April..._MUCH colder than avg. Thursday is 3/13 the 11 year anniversary of the Blizzard of ‘93! (just thought I would add that for drama!!!)
P6 the hashtag symbol is the topic/trend you are tweeting about as in #GlobalWarmingHoax you can use a trending # or just make up any phrase. The @ symbol precedes the address of the person you are tweeting at (Jim Quinn is @warroom). Quinn doesn’t tweet back though (but maybe he’ll recognize you:) from radio and at least favorite—that’s the star symbol). If you FReepMail me your @ I’ll follow you and then you can see my timeline. RWI and Greg tweet as (and I do follow a couple of other FReepers).

Twitter messages are 140 characters max, including spaces, so you have to think about what you write and how to make it fit. The #, hashtag, is used to group messages together so that the topic can be searched easily and treading topics can also be seen. For example, #QuinnAndRose, #Ukraine, #Benghazi, etc. They cannot contain spaces.
For usernames, you have the @ that is used to mention other users or reply to others so that they will see it and be referenced in it. The @username also allows someone to open information to that user. You would need to know that username and it would have to be their registered name. For example, Jim’s username is @warroom and Rose’s username is @MadWomanDiary. If you want to reference them, then use these in place of an actual name.

A little more info on the CA 6.9
The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network (PNSN) is reporting thst this is a strike-slip on the Gorda fault NOT in the Jaun DeFuca subduction zone. The 6.9 was at a depth of 7 km (but upon review USGS may revise). The immediate after after shocks were deeper (and in the 3.0-4.0 range) yet a much bigger 4.6 AS is listed as much, much shallower at 2.6 km
NO Tsumani warning issued. Those who “felt it” (usgs comment page) said it “rolled” not a quick jerking motion.
This active area is very near the Mendicino Triple Junction.
