I know you are being nice but there is a reason that illegal Mexicans are called “wetbacks” in Texas. They swim the Rio Grande to get to Texas. If they don't like that name, they can walk across the NM AZ or CA border to illegally enter the US. Most folks probably don't realize the Rio Grande starts in Colorado, runs down the middle of New Mexico, and then becomes the border between TX and Mexico.
I cross the Rio Grande twice a day commuting to/from work, right here in the Albuquirky metro area.
Yes I know where the Rio Grande starts I have been there. I have also driven along the NM/Mexico border that is nothing but a rusty falling down barbed wire fence. Or at least that is what it was a few years ago.
