Chuck Norris' personal code of ethics / principles for life

I will develop myself to the maximum of my potential in all ways. I will forget the mistakes of the past and press on to greater achievements. I will always be in a positive frame of mind and convey this feeling to every person that I meet. I will continually work at developing love, happiness and loyalty in my family and acknowledge that no other success can compensate for failure in the home. I will look for the good in all people and make them feel worthwhile. If I have nothing good to say about a person, I will say nothing. I will always give so much time to the improvement of myself that I will have no time to criticize others. I will always be as enthusiastic about the success of others as I am about my own. I will maintain an attitude of open-mindedness toward another person's viewpoint while still holding fast to what I know to be true and honest. I will maintain respect for those in authority and demonstrate this respect at all times. I will always remain loyal to my God, my country, family and my friends. I will remain highly goal-oriented throughout my life because that positive attitude helps my family, my country and myself.

OK. But we need a standard of reference with which to align objective behavior.

What is Mr. Norris's? Hope it's not self --

Looks like a takeoff on the OPTIMIST CREED
OPTIMIST.ORG
The Optimist Creed

Promise Yourself

To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.

To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet.

To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.

To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.

To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best.

To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.

To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.

To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.

To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.

To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

He turned 74 yesterday - happy birthday, Mr. Norris.
There is no theory of evolution. Just a list of animals Chuck Norris allows to live.

NYC is the city that never sleeps. Unless Chuck Norris tells it to.

He looks like he’s 54, not 74. He’s the new Jack LaLanne.

Age is afraid to creep up on Chuck Norris.

I've always had a good feeling about Norris, and liked the fact that my children could watch his programs without being embarrassed by his language or conduct to/with women--nothing salacious. I just checked his bio sketch on Wiki, and found what you say to be true. Wish every boy could include his behavior as an example in formulating his own.

Thanks.
