Newly-elected New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced last week that space-sharing agreements for three New York City charter schools have been rescinded. This decision marks an abrupt change from de Blasio’s charter-friendly predecessor, Michael Bloomberg, who helped create a supportive environment for publicly funded charter schools and was a proponent of space-sharing agreements between charter schools and traditional public schools.
The three charter schools affected by de Blasio’s announcement are operated by the Success Academy network. Two of the charter schools have yet to open, and will likely not open because of de Blasio’s decision, while the third charter school, Success Academy Harlem 4, will not be able to expand. According to the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools, Success Harlem 4 is already an excellent school, where “83 percent of the students passed the state math exam last year, putting it in the top one percent of all schools in the state.”

Eva Moskowitz, a Democrat who founded the Charters, is a political opponent of De Blasio’s, who has gone up against the NEA, the NAACP, and others about how bad NYC schools really are.
He’s not interested in education.
He’s interested in union jobs and pensions whether they do anything for them or not.

Hmmm. I’m thinking maybe the Archdiocese of New York should think about renting out some of the schools it has had to close to these charter schools.
(My reply has nothing to do with minorities.. it's about typical (?) products of California public schools. I guess this is what the Democrats want.)
I'm watching youtube videos of physiology subjects recorded before a live class by a very popular professor Steven Fink.
The numbers were for a male weighing 154 pounds. Everything should to be in kilograms mainly because one kilogram of liquid is one liter of liquid.
The professor explained how to convert the 154 pounds to 70 kilograms. Divide 154 by 2.2 giving 70 kilograms. Simple enough. But..
I was shocked to hear him explaining to the class how to compute and the critical importance of decimals.. after all when, as medical care personnel, the students would have to use calculations to take into account differences among patients.
First the professor explained a little about dividing. He told the class of college students to think about 150 divided by 2. That would be 75. That means when they divide 154 by 2.2 the answer would be very close the 75. It would be 70 in fact, he said. It would not be 7 or 700. He said students have actually asked for partial credit with 7 and 700 as answers.
Then he explained about decimals as he proceeded to cover percentages of body fluid.. the body is 60 percent water that's 42 kilograms (liters) NOT 420 liters he emphasized.
Some time in the future.. I can see it now. "The patient is dehydrated and you want the hose for what?!"
