It’s A Warrior Thing. You Wouldn’t Understand. [David Yeagley died yesterday]

WE INDIANS are supposed to hate the white man. Everyone tells me this. I’ve heard it from whites, blacks and even from Indians.

Well, folks, I hate to disappoint you, but I like white people just fine. To tell the truth, I rather admire them and their fascinating history.

Oh, I know what you’re thinking. "Yeagley! How can you say that? How can you admire a people who slaughtered your ancestors, gave smallpox to those left alive, herded them onto reservations, made them all drunks, and as the final indignity sold their turquoise mines to the Japanese?"

Well, the way I figure it, anyone who could whip our Indian behinds like the white man did deserves our highest respect. And anyone who can whip a Comanche (my tribe) deserves the Medal of Honor.

I admire a man who can beat me. I dare say, deep inside all Indians at least those who are still warriors at heart there is a special admiration for the white man.

When the Comanches first encountered the white man, his behavior didn’t shock them. They saw that he took what he wanted by force. And they understood. Because the Comanches did the same to their weaker neighbors.

If my ancestors had been strong enough, they would have taken the white man’s land, instead of the other way around. And they wouldn’t have felt guilty about it afterwards. You wouldn’t have seen any defeated white people getting affirmative action from Comanches.

When one general surrenders to another, they salute each other. It doesn’t mean that there’s no bitterness between them. It just means that a warrior respects his foe.

White people understand this, because they too come from a warrior culture. The white man has great respect for the Indian....

When you say post, do you mean on FR? I was thinking of his blog or column.

Hi Sioux,
I thought you may be a FReeper.
Thanks for posting this on David Yeagey’s passing.
I’m one of those Freepers who lurked on his blog,
and will certainly miss his essays and
conversations with those who commented on his thoughts and writings.
I hope his family will have peace and blessed assurance.
I know many will miss him.
FReegards,
two

I used to post Dr. Yeagley’s columns once and awhile, but too often it would get yanked - especially when it was about our racist PINO and his minions. I don’t think Dr. Y ever posted directly. Is that what you are saying?

Owl Eagle was his original nick

He became known later as South Hawthorne in 2001

He was a staunch Vdare type conservative

A white nationalist Indian pretty much I liked him....he was pals with fellow conservative Indian Wes Studi

I used to freepmail him

Didn’t realize he’d passed till tonight

He fell out I think over the Iraq war he found foolish and the racial political correctness here

Back then....remember if you opposed amnesty you were bigoted against brown folks and could get zotted in 2001-2007

I was told owl Eagle was david yeagley by himself in freepmail

But if you look at who’s owl Eagle now or claims to be

....freeper South Hawthorne

It’s obviously not David who died in 2014

So my memory is bad or somebody is playing

And my long term memory is photog scary as in a pain in the ass

Ask my wife she hates I remember stuff like I do

However I’m not certain here honestly but I am certain david yeagley was a freeper and I talked to him a few times no doubt of that

Matt knew David and maybe pelham did too

I remember David Yeagley but I don't know if he ever was a freeper. I think I used to read him at Vdare and AmRen, sites that make the no borders wing of the GOP establishment pee down their legs in fear and anger. A good voice who died too young, much like the late great Terry Anderson, the Prisoner of South Central L.A.

The white man has great respect for the Indian....

That's why we name sports teams and combat helicopters for Indians.

Amen to that - The Seminoles get a pretty penny from Florida State for the honor.

I don't know that David Yeagley was ever on FreeRepublic, but it is possible. Looking through old emails tonight, I found one from David about six months before he died - upbeat and gracious. BadEagle was the first forums I actively participated in, even before FR. He was a truthseeker, an excellent teacher, and that is what attracted me. He sure could draw the Fire!

I will never forget when he wrote about Terri Schiavo, with him not really understanding what was going on behind the headlines, due to highly biased and false reporting. I was living in north Florida at the time, so had been following the situation closely and told him that there was much more to the story and he needed to investigate it further. He did just that and updated his opinion on her horrific treatment and 'legalized murder'.

David had powerful opinions that didn't sit well with the Lefties (Red & White) or the RINOs. I can only imagine the field day he would be having now with the Great White Father ;)

I didn’t know the man ... ran across his writings from time to time. He spoke the truth, bluntly. I respected that.
