Called Susies Senior Dogs, the page connects people with older pooches up for adoption. In six weeks of existence, its racked up 144,000 followers and used its reach to find homes for 30 senior dogs in overcrowded shelters.
Stantons girlfriend, Erin OSullivan, started the Facebook page in late January. The page got a major boost when Stanton shared it with his Humans of New York Facebook followers, who number more than 3.6 million.

I have a soft-spot in my heart for older dogs. When I see the white/gray around their muzzles, I can’t help but wish the best for them.
I also have a soft-spot for (most) older people. Some of my best friends are many decades my elders.
I, too have a soft spot for old dogs and those are the ones I rescue. Unfortunately, one cannot have them for long, but I enjoy every moment I have with them. Currently, my rescue, Harvey the Hound (a blue-tick beagle), and I just enjoy our time together. He sleeps in a nice dog bed right alongside mine.
