I have a ZERO percent disability rating for cardiac arrythmias which occurred during my army service back in the 60’s. The VA claims that since I worked a “desk job” as a programmer my disability wasn’t sufficient enough to compensate me.
My condition was downgraded back in 1986 to Congestive Heart Failure and even though I didn’t apply for VA disability until 1992, they still gave me the reduced rating.
I have been declared totally disabled by an Administrative Law Judge for Social Security back in 2000 but I am still unable to receive any compensation from the VA.
I also have been examined by the VA for knee and back injuries which I received in the Army and I am currently receiving Morphine and OXYCODONE for due to the disabling pain.
My VA Comp and Pension exam states that ALL my injuries including ear nerve damage are “MORE LIKELY THAN NOT” service connected but still no compensation from the VA.
I also have to fill out the yearly form for the means test and on the bottom this year it asked if I have applied for Obamacare. I left that part blank and submitted the form back in December.
It is now march and I still haven’t heard back from then as to whether or not I am covered this year. I have already cancelled appointments because I am not sure if I will be billed for them.
The Dems are out to destroy the military any means they can and diverting the funds to their illegal immigrant voters just to stay in power. The Vets mean nothing to the dems as witnessed by their efforts to keep the VETS absentee ballots from being counted in the last two elections.

Like you, I have a ‘similar-to-but-cannot-be-because the year was later than the one written-down Agent Orange exposure, so no money for that. I served three years straight in and about SouthEastAsia.
Like you, I had to sue for my 52 quarters of Social Security benefits, (the smart lawyer used all my V.A. records in winning my case), after my forms were denied three times.
In the meantime, before I applied for V.A. benefits, I had the discovery of, removal of, and treatment of, colorectal cancer. Since 2000, I have had one laposcopic, and three relocation surgeries, all picked up by the V.A.
As to our being ‘unclean’ by the Democrats, I agree. When Illinois State Senator Barack HUSSEIN Obama called the troops ‘baby killers’, on the floor of the Illinois Senate Chamber, and then became HMIC, I knew something was wrong.
BTW, Clinton did the same thing with the GI votes.
