VonCannon announces congressional run; changes district and party.

Guilford County’s GIS records show VonCannon purchased his home on Dec. 2.

That same day he updated his voter registration to match his new address.

VonCannon’s voter registration also listed him as a Democrat until May 2013, when he changed to a Republican.

An employee of Randolph County’s Board of Elections said records show him as a registered voter there until Dec. 6.

Bruce VonCannon:Are Congressmen the Next Chinese Import?

Mr. VonCannon told the News and Record on December 10 that he retired from Banque Privee Edmond de Rothschild in 2012.

It sure sounds like either the reporter at the News and Record got it wrong about when Bruce VonCannon retired and presumably left Hong Kong or Mr. VonCannon pulled a fast one on him. Just to nail down the point about when Bruce VonCannon left China, his own Linkedin profile says he was working for Banque Privee Edmond de Rothschild until August 2013.

Apparently, advising the Chinese elite how to get richer made Mr. VonCannon pretty rich because it's reported he's going to spend $2,000,000 of his money to get elected.

Here is another fact. A public records search shows that for the 2 decades Bruce VonCannon was in Asia, he didn't pay any property taxes in North Carolina.

This guy has been running TV ads locally constantly for weeks now and spending a lot of $$. I'm sick of his ads, So I decided to see who this guy was that was claiming "Conservative" in his ads and blowing money like crazy.

I am not passing judgement, but merely posting what appeared in a bit of research. If anyone knows more, please let me know.

“...VonCannon ... criticized Congress for its penchant for posturing and inability to compromise.”
******************************************************************

The above quote from the linked article tells me ALL we need to know about Von Cannon. The last thing we need in Congress is yet another Republican interested in reaching across the aisle and “compromising”.

As an advocate of compromise he’d likely support Boehner (or Eric Cantor) for Majority Leader. We don’t need any more Boehner supporters either.

No thanks... We don’t need a RINO in congress.
