True story: there was an infamous flight attendant, and likely one of the most senior on any airline, named Zoe. If you were ever a flight attendant, you might have heard of her; her stories are legendary in the biz. I have no idea how many times she has been fired, but I think the following episode was one of them.
Anyway, Zoe was trying to get a passenger in Business Class to properly stow his luggage and sit down, so that the plane could push off the blocks. When she insisted he sit down, he did the ole "Do you have ANY idea who you are talking to? Do you know who I am??" And she just looked at him, walked up to the front of the plane, picked up the handset, and announced to the entire plane, "Attention passengers, there is a gentleman in Business Class that doesn't seem to know who he is. Could someone please come up and identify him? Thank you."
By the way, I flew with Zoe to Rio. I was very junior and was called out on reserve to fly with this very senior crew from Miami. When I saw her, and then saw her behavior, I knew that every single story about her was true. It was also confirmed by the crew I was flying with. "Oh yeah, she's crazy." they told me. I just tried to stay out of her path. As a little silver-winger (probationary period for the first 6 months), I was rightly scared of her.
