The Herman Miler Equa 2 hands down best office chair. Discovered it after having back surgery and am now on my 2nd one in 25 years. The seat and back flex with you and support you. Its not cheap, but spread the cost over ten or more years and its quite reasonable. Forget the Aeron, poor support

I posted something after you about the Herman Miller Aeron because I had good experience with one and felt they would be easy to find in like-new condition. I agree with you about the Equa 2 as far as comfort, but my only experience is trying one out in the store.

When it came time to buy a personal office chair, I bought a Herman Miller Embody, and, a decade later, I could not be happier.

I think what several of us are saying is, SoG, is consider Herman Miller chairs. If you have an opportunity to make it to an office furnishings store, you can sit in them and try them out for an extended period, then configure and mail-order one from an on-line discounter when home.
