Letterman is just sad. He should have left 10 years ago.
Jimmy Fallon continues to bring fresh ideas and skits to late night.
Jimmy Fallon outlaws dancing via formal proclamation, and Kevin Bacon makes a grand entrance to save the day! Of course, in the end, Jimmy rips up the proclamation.
Its the 30 year anniversary of Footloose people

Are you having a bad day? Even if you arent this video of Jimmy Fallon and Billy Joel singing the doo-wop classic The Lion Sleeps Tonight by the Tokens (Also sang in the Lion King) will cheer you up.
Billy and Jimmy sing in 4 part harmony thanks to the magic of an iPad looping app. It looks so easy! The performance is from last nights Tonight Show.

I miss Leno. He was genuine and one of us.
If you read the TV Guide, you don’t need a TV.
Does anybody really think Leno won’t be back?
That and endless, aimless channel changing.
I would use the word fun to describe what Fallon has brought to 11:30.
He can sign, dance, do impressions and make up and play regular games with guests.
I was watching Joel during the duet and he seemed to be smiling at Fallon’s performance.
Letterman and Leno can’t match the skill set. As Fallon matures with his monologue delivery, it won’t even be close.
Letterman was my favorite, but he can’t stop mocking republicans and showing his ignorance on public issues. He seems tired with old jokes and doesn’t bring anything fresh. Even the top ten list, his signature, seems to be getting old. He tried to do Skype humor this week and it was weak.
Contrast with Fallon who constantly references social media and brings it home to his younger crowd. Fallon is the future.
Fallon brings out more from guests with his skits and game playing and music. His songs by popular guests backed up by kids music instruments is very creative and you can see the singers enjoying it as they sing live. Who else could do the history of rap or nail singer impressions.
Fallon’s band and sidekick are more spontaneous than the others.
I pooh-poohed Fallon and now I’m becoming a fan.
67 years old and ready for Letterman to retire. I look for Leno to pop up again, but he will take numbers from Letterman and not so much from Fallon’s demographic.
A fan since Steve Allen at age 9.
Joel is undergoing resurgence. HBO just ran his documentary about the USSR concert trip.
He has 1 night a month booked at Madison Square Garden for a year.
Will have a radio show for 3 months on satellite.
May have passed his prime, but his career is still alive.
He’s mean spirited and tries to overshadow his guests with his lame comments.
I was cannel surfing years ago and happened on his ‘stupid pet tricks’ segment.
He got down right up in this dog’s face and kept repeating ‘Hello doggy’ over and over in this falsetto voice- and then the dog bit him on the nose!
Showed up the next night with a big bandage on his nose.
I had to laugh.
Anybody else see this?
I liked the duet of I may be crazy at the end of the show.
I’ve never thought Fallon was funny. He wasn’t funny on SNL. I don’t watch any of it.
Sorry, Jimmy Kimmel is the funny one.
I get more sleep since Leno is gone, Fallon flat out stinks!
re: Letterman.
I have never watched more than 5 minutes total of his program since he has been on the air.
There is just something about him that causes me to change the channel.
I did watch Leno occasionally. I have not watched Kimmel or Fallon.
None of them can replace Johnny.
Can’t stand the man. Can’t stand any of these type shows. Haven’t watched any in at least 20 years.
I agree 100%.
I didn’t watch much of Fallon when he was on the Late Show, but I’m finding more and more that I enjoy him on the Tonight Show. I absolutely love the musical bits he does. He has a real musical ability which he knows how to put to good use.
His duet with Billy Joel was brilliant. I love how he thought up the iPad part of it and how well they executed it. It was a classic bit which will endure.
Good for Fallon!
