Or to be more specific, it was when the progressives transitioned societal thinking from being a Representative Republic to a Democratic Socialist Government. If we still lived in the former, then the only “majority” voice that would matter would be the name(s) on the deed of the property. Since the progressives have successfully tranistioned us to the latter, we now empower the government to project dictates.
You are celebrating the success of progressivism. This succes WILL lead to the government you have empowered projecting more dictates. In fact, I’d bet that this government will eventually mandate (dictate) that Churches must perform same sex marriage.
When you empower a government to project dictates, you shouldn’t be shocked when those in government become dictators.
I can't play loud music late at night in my own yard, I can't have more than 3 dogs, I can't burn trash at my house, I can't target practice with my gun, I can't keep my horse at my house, fireworks are a huge no no.
We used to live in the country and I could do all of those things and no one cared.
