They had the cam zoomed in on the chicks when I checked on them this afternoon. It’s obvious which order they hatched in based on their size. The last one is definitely a runt but it’s got a strong will to live apparently. The few feedings I’ve gotten to see were rough because that poor tiny thing got very little to eat.
The first year I watched the heron cam at Ithaca, all 5 of their eggs hatched. The last was soooooo tiny compared to the others and no one expected it to make it. But it did. I’m hoping the tiny eaglet will do the same.
