Unequal access my eye. I’m a teacher. I see Asian kids outperform the other minorities every single day, and they are in the same classes, using the same books, same teachers... The only thing they have unfair advantage in is a focused, hard-working culture and attentive, no-nonsense parenting.

Agreed ! My daughter taught in San Franciso area and the Oriental parents made their kids study , be obedient , and stay focused.
They had parents who insisted on productivity from their kids
They would put their kids into private schools, or schools for the exceptional student .. and the kids worked for thier grades.
The parents didn't accept mediocrity either from their children , or from the teaching staff, even if they couldn't afford tuition. If necessary , both parents would work two jobs , and watch over their children's grades .
The parents were committed to having their children be successful , academicly to the best of their ability .
THe difference is the interst and committment of parents in their children's education , and accomplishment .
Normal Parent-Teacher COnferences were supposed to be 3 1/2 hours total ;
my daughter had to have an interpreter in order to communicate with the parents, and the coferences were 7 1/2 hours long.
The difference was parental committment to academic performance and success.
