Poll: Obama health law fails to gain support

Public support for President Barack Obama’s health care law is languishing at its lowest level since passage of the landmark legislation four years ago, according to a new poll.

The Associated Press-GfK survey finds that 26 percent of Americans support the Affordable Care Act. Yet even fewer—13 percent—think it will be completely repealed. A narrow majority expects the law to be further implemented with minor changes, or as passed.

“To get something repealed that has been passed is pretty impossible,” said Gwen Sliger of Dallas. “At this point, I don’t see that happening.” […]

“I like the idea that if you have a pre-existing condition you can’t be turned down, but I don’t like the idea that if you don’t have health insurance you’ll be fined,” said Sliger. …

Harry Reid says it’s not an issue anymore. Way down the list of things people care about.

this isn’t and never has been about ‘health care’.

this is simply an act of tyranny. it should always be referred to by what it really is.

In other words, FedGov has lost the last shreds of trust that it used to have before Obama. Hopefully that loss of legitimacy will restrain FedGov growth.

If we can repeal Prohibition, we can repeal Obamacare, Ms. Sliger.

Just like all those marriage definition laws, right?

Exactly. This is agitator propaganda put out by AP to discourage us.

Don’t buy the lie.

The AP promotes Democratic talking points - what a surprise.

The young are ticked and in 2015 - really pissed.

The elderly are getting ticked over Medicare cuts.

Workers are getting ticked from 25% pay cuts and the layoffs.

The Democrats are ticked at the disastrous website roll-outs and all the delays.

My prediction: Democrats will be calling for Obamacare's repeal soon.

Can anyone name a government program that has been repealed? Bringing up Prohibition is a faulty comparison. I'm talking about dependency programs. ObamaCare will not be repealed. I wish I could be more optimistic but I don't see the votes. Even when the GOP takes the Senate, there are still too many “just fix it” Republicans

Repeal would be nice. A constitutional amendment prohibiting this and other similar ‘laws’ would be much better.

Oh yeah, include the over-reach by the alphabet agencies like EPA and DHS too.

Chief Wimp Roberts, of the disgraced Supreme Court, is as guilty as Obama for forcng this tyranny on the American people. They both ought to be impeached.

Their exclusion from Art I, Sec 8 and no inclusion in any amendment should be sufficient to prohibit their implementation at the national level...

At this point, what difference does it make. It is law of the land and ensured massive government growth for decades.

Yup, the law of the land just like the 18th Amendment and Volstead Act were the law of the land too . . . right?

This isn’t a dependency program per se. The Medicaid expansion can be considered as such, but not the forcing of people to buy expensive health insurance.
