Oh, and please note the following:

“He posted the note, locked up and went home. We spoke with his manager on Thursday who admits she was late that day but argues that he never called her or anyone else at the gas station. He just walked off the job. A move he thought might end up with him losing his job.”

If this was your employee, would you keep him? He didn’t call the manager OR anyone else, just shut the door and walked away. Screw this dipstick—he deserved to be fired for posting the note, not to mention walking off the job. The manager needs attention too, but anyone with sympathy for this idiot needs to rethink his position.
