Here in this part of Texas, in a couple of months, the water coming out of the tap is fine for showers. Cold water comes from a refrigerator.

Water pipes don't freeze here if you bury them six inches.

Up here in NY I saw pipes freeze this past winter that haven’t in at least 25 years.
