Carol had to kill Lizzie because Lizzie had become a threat to everyone. Lizzie killed her sister so that once she turned, she could love her and treat her as just “different” than humans. Lizzie was crazy.

Carol had to kill Lizzie... Ripped my heart out. Yet, that is what makes TWD so fascinating. There was an unwritten rule, even in Hollywood, that good guys do not kill children.
