Emerging consensus that LBJ killed JFK?
renewamerica.com ^ | March 31, 2014 | Jeff Lukens

...Lyndon Johnson was a loutish psychopathic willing to do anything to advance his rise to power. His rise was fueled by graft, corruption, and murder. Yes, murder. LBJ's hitman, Malcolm Wallace, had killed seven other people in Johnson's rise to power, including LBJ's own sister, Josefa Johnson.

...As the rift between Kennedy and hardliners widened, into the void stepped Lyndon Johnson. Never to let opportunity go to waste, LBJ found the ultimate solution to his Bobby Baker scandal that was coming to a boil on Capitol Hill. LBJ's days were numbered, and he was facing possible prison. Kennedy was already showing signs that Johnson would be dumped from the 1964 ticket. With his ruthless drive for power, and RFK as the likely successor to the JFK legacy, LBJ would be out in the cold, except of course, if he could pull off the crime of the century, kill JFK, and garner public support in the process.

...For many years, Johnson was a neighbor and a close confidante to J. Edger Hoover, Director of the FBI. Normally, people like him would be in jail, but in LBJ's case, he held much sway with Hoover and the justice system. JFK, however, planned to force Hoover out in 1965 with the mandatory retirement at 70 for all federal employees.

... Johnson's mistress, Madeleine Brown, told investigators years later that Johnson told her that evening, "After tomorrow, those goddamn Kennedys will never embarrass me again. That is no threat. That is a promise."

...LBJ was in the pale blue Lincoln in the motorcade, two cars back from the President's car. LBJ was seen to be ducking low in his car as it approached Elm Street even before the shots were fired. He knew the shots were coming, and he was trying to take cover.

I think it doesn’t make any difference one way or another.

Truly was an evil man ... it was Lyndon Baines Johnson who stated, “I’ll have those n****** voting Democratic for the next 200 years” as he confided with two like-minded governors on Air Force One regarding his underlying intentions for the “Great Society” programs. He turned the Demonrat Party into the new slave masters! Well they have 50 of those years under their belt ... no sign that the base is waking up!

“I’ll give you another piece of evidence ... I was there, but I didn’t see Oswald come out ... so what does that mean? ... :-) ...”

It’s hard to say what it means with no more details than that. What was your point of view? Are you saying there was only one way to get in and out of the book depository and you were in full view of it? How old were you at the time? ....so on and so forth....
(I’m not expecting you to answer, just responding to your vague comment.)

It is well known that LBJ disliked the Kennedy’s and had the most to gain from the assassination. As POTUS, he would be in an ideal position to suppress or manipulate the investigation. The bad karma no doubt haunted Johnson’s presidency. That plus guilt played a role in his decision not to seek another term. I just always though the LBJ hypothesis mad the most sense, but have been too busy living my life to get into it deeply.

Even if this were true, it’s bit late to do anything about it now.

A common question to ask is “Who stood to benefit most from JFK’s death?” LBJ.

A good question to ask in any murder investigation.

I was in my teens ... and the significance of that ... It was said he went out that way. I didn’t see him. I was right on that corner and if you’ve been there, you know what that means.

it means you weren’t looking that way, for anyone in particular, all excited about the President driving down the street right in front of your eyes, all agaga because you’re a girl (boy, if I’m wrong about THAT I’ll never hear the end of it), the day was gorgeous, life was good in America ... and a ton of etcetera’s

Oh ... and no, I’m not a girl. Another thing ... the car is way down the street from that corner. And I didn’t care about it much, one way or the other. During the elections, earlier - I thought it was kind of weird to have other kids talking about Nixon or Kennedy. I didn’t care.

You are correct of course.

How anyone here can give any cover to LBJ or deny he was likely the worst (as in manipulator with greatest harm) USA politician in the 20th Century is absurd.

LBJ had both the means, the mentality, the motivation and the greatest to gain. Simplest answers are usually right answers.

That LBJ was responsible for the assassination was the firm opinion of a former Dallas County deputy sheriff I was working with in 1985 who had been on duty Nov. 22, 1963. His absolute confidence in that opinion has always stuck with me. His attitude was “Well, everybody in the department knew but were smart enough to keep their mouths shut”. There are as many plausible suspects to mull over, including Oswald as a lone Marine Corps trained marksman turned Communist, as in a whodunit board game. Is it possible and believable that LBJ could have been involved? Sure.

I came to this same conclusion many years ago after reading Robert Caro’s biographies of LBJ. LBJ had to be president he HAD to be! This was the ONLY was he could get there. LBJ is burning in hell right now, he was ruthless evil man!

Johnson was yelling at a couple of pilots to shut their plane engine down so Kennedy could give a speech during the 1960 campaign. here
