Parents could be jailed for starving their children of love By News.com.au

Parents who deny their children love or affection could be jailed under new child neglect laws in Britain. Changes to the laws will make “emotional cruelty” a crime for the first time, alongside physical or sexual abuse, the London Telegraph reports. Parents found guilty under the “Cinderella Law”, which will be introduced in the Queen’s Speech in early June, could face up to ten years in prison.

So when in England and out in public with your kid, you better show them massive amounts of love and affection or the love police will arrest you!

"Anthony, you killed the neighbors dog! B-but it's good that you did that Anthony! Isn't that good everybody? Anthony you are so good!"

This would be a law that could be made to mean anything the authorities wanted. Oppose the diktats of the local Apparatchiks, get prosecuted for child abuse.

Yep. The first thing I said to myself was that if you pass a law saying people can be jailed for not providing enough of a thing you then have to qualify and quantify what is “enough”.

Makes the law pretty moot.

Excellent point. Further, when the parent is jailed, who then provides the love? Is Big Brother gonna step in and take up the slack?

What we need is another law. murder, 2nd degree murder, voluntary manslaughter, involuntary manslaughter and more are not enough! Like a lousy Greek restaurant throw another special on the menu.

Sometimes, it’s difficult to separate the satire from reality. I’m guessing this is an April Fool’s Day joke, yes?

I don’t know, it’s from the UK Telegraph which seems like a legit news site...I wouldn’t doubt it though, England allows Sharia courts to exist which is as insane as it gets, so why not this?

Look at this, just utter madness..”Sharia law to be enshrined in British legal system”...
