Minnesota, Theater of Seasons: One act of mosquitoes between two acts of snow.

State motto: “We like it here.”

It happened here in CT one April 1st years ago. And it wasn't no joke.

It’s bad all over. We had a 1/10th of a 1/10th of an inch of drizzle overnight here in central CA and it probably won’t break 70 degrees here today.

Actually I think it may have happened in South Carolina, just not 18 inches. Right here where I live we had about three inches on March 23 give or take a couple of days. I remember it and it was not all that many years past but I am not certain of the date. My father used to talk about having his newly sprouted corn crop covered over with snow one year. I think he said it was about three inches deep but it melted off in an hour or two after it fell. I think he referred to it as the year it snowed at Easter.

A number of years ago, we had a snowstorm on the Twins home opener. I made a snowman of an umpire to greet the girlfriend when she got home from work.

I’m and LTL truck driver. Several years ago on a bitter cold day I had an outside delivery, no dock but they had a fork lift. I made a comment about “global warming”. The woman who was unloading me all the sudden got a cult like look and sound than said; “Oh no, global warming is real.” This was kind of in a tone of “Santa is real”. She went on, “In fact my daughter just graduated as an environmental biologist and unfortunately global warming means that it will get colder in the midwest.”

Given that this nut case was a customer I had to hold back but I wanted to say 2 things:

1) What part of “global” and “warming” aren’t you putting together here? And

2) Your daughter is an idiot and you have been ripped off.

There was a tornado touchdown in west central Minnesota yesterday. That same county was in a blizzard warning for later in the evening.

Spring in Minnesota is nothing if not interesting.

“Your daughter is an idiot and you have been ripped off.”

Yup.

She and her daughter are now brilliant geniuses.
