Off-course behavior is only part of it. The man's on-course behavior hasn't always been great either.
The whole issue with his drops at the Masters and Players championships last doesn't help him, his on-course language at times has been very coarse including an alleged swearing incident at the 2011 British Open, club-kicking at the Masters and spitting on greens in Dubai which earned him a fine from the European Tour.
And then there was the 2000 US Open, where Woods unleashed a string of profanity after hitting his tee ball on the 72nd hole into the ocean at Pebble Beach -- when he was leading by 15 strokes.

No, it's not difficult to dislike Tiger Woods. In the slightest.
In his last tournament before his wife beat him up, he threw a club that bounced into the gallery and hit someone.
It's irritating, but it brings in the money because of the 25% of his genetics that makes his skin dark. And all that money makes the other pros deferential, in spite of his negatives.
ever hear of a drug that improves your shooting? Similar skill set of fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination.

I idolize no one. The greatest man I have ever known in my life was my father, who died when I was 18 years old.
I never said Woods was not a great golfer, I said he has never shown any class. Great golfers don’t throw fits and act like a spoiled child if something doesn’t go right for them on the course. Jack Nicholas once said Woods has never asked him one thing about golf. Not the first thing. In otherwords Woods has snubbed the greatest golfer that ever lived because he think thinks it would be lowering himself to ask Nickolas’ opinion on anything to do with golf. If that is not the height of arrogance and stupidity I don’t know what is.
You misunderstood me, other than my attempt at humor for your post, I was speaking in generalizations about the idolization of sports stars and celebrities around the world. There are true heroes and those worthy of idolization, such as your father for you. I simply said I don’t understand this other nonsense. I care about Tiger neither up or down, when someone is performing well I like to watch, I don’t invest any emotion in it.
But no other golfer or celebrity has ever done any of those things, like say Veejay. Apparently I kicked the hornets nest again, someday I might learn better. Probably not til the day the Lord calls me home though.
For the record, I’m not a Singh fan either.
But golf, as it promotes itself, is a gentleman’s game, where rules are scrupulously adhered to, sometimes slavishly so.
If Woods can’t act like a gentleman I won’t be a fan. And I’ll frankly enjoy the Masters without him there.
That said, anyone can change. If he does, I’ll reconsider.
