Its the monthly installment of Volt propaganda. Short story: year to year March sales were dead flat.

And 'flat' is the best news the Volt has had in months, so its celebration time....btw, sales were flat because of a persistent problem they've had - low inventory (no I don't believe that either).

And by any other reckoning, were a flat ZERO. Not long ago people would have said GM loses 1400 cars a month ;-) But now of course it is a Big Deal.

Have Volt sales ever been anything other than “flat”?

Didn’t they try electrical and steam powered cars over a century ago, and they were simply inferior to the combustion engine?

Perhaps the stupid ass Liberals should be made to physically push their cars everywhere.

Guess they never really “caught fire”, as was expected...

How can the same company that can not build a working 4-cylinder compact car that doesn’t try to kill its owner also build the wonders that are the Camaro SS and the Corvette?

And how can anyone trust them to build an advanced hybrid like the Volt is supposed to be?

Hardly a surprise. This car appeals to the same razor-thin market. That is the market of people who have lots of money to waste (because they aren't buying more of the car,) and who want an ecologically friendly car, and who don't travel much (because if they do then Volt is of no particular advantage, having a 30-mile EV range on flat land.)

Been a GM guy since High School in the 1970s. After reading about the failure of GM to fix their ignition switch problem and how many people probably died because the ignition switch when it failed locked the steering and deactivated the air bags as well and cutting the power brakes.....probably have purchased my last GM vehicle.
