Control Panel - Display - Adjust ClearType Text. Check the box to turn this feature on.

It sounds like a driver issue. Short of that, try Control Panel - Display - Adjust ClearType Text. Check the box to turn this feature on.I'd truly like to do that (it sounds like good advice), but unfortunately there is no "Adjust ClearType Text" option anywhere available there.
