While I am of mixed mind vis-a-vis Jebs actual comments, i abhor the gotcha use of the “love” aspect for headline purposes.ot’s like the media frenzy ove Chubby’s Ft.Lee lane closures.

When, the Court itself rejected Castlemans Constitutional argument (I believe they said it had not been raised previously)
But the crux of the gnashing and wailing was actually part of Castlemans argument, that was specifically rejected...

oh AFTR you and your mom have my prayers, this is a very sad time. No matter how old, no matter how sick, it is very hard. She’s not in a condition to let you know anything any longer, i am guessing?
i read at noon Mass on Sundays. a few weeks ago, the church secretary, who sends out the readings and announcements to the readers during the week, included a new woman who has begun reading at the 9 am mass. Later in the day i got an email from this new woman, with hilarious antiobama cartoons and jokes. i thought to myself, hmmmm... this is strange, then i figured that clearly she did not mean to include me, that it was the auto-population of addressees that iphone does, that she prob hit the first letter and my address popped up, unbeknownst to her. So because that is SOOOOO something that would happen to me, i sent her an email saying, i don’t think you meant to include me, but i wanted to let you know that i thought those were hilarious, and i can’t stand Obama either! She was aghast at what she had done, but appreciated the note, we went back and forth some and i said that i was happy to know there were some bonafide conservatives at Holy Rosary, since being Catholic is no guarantee of being conservative, as we well know. She has a reagan.com email, so she’s actually pretty hardcore. I bring this up now, bc i just got another set of them from her, again, i think she has no idea. I think she thinks she is sending them to her mom, bc i see “dad” as one of the other addressees. obv i got in her address book, because we are both on the church emails together with the other readers.
I keep my mouth closed at the office, but it’s a very comfortable environment for liberals to spout their garbage. The conservatives among us know each other by our work. The rest just like to skate by on their presumptuous pedigrees.
Not really. “Ice” is just about the only word I can get out of her. And “open the window”. She is nonresponsive to all owther questions.

My FIL passed away about 18 mo or so ago, so i recall pretty vividly this sort of in-between life and death stage. he was comforted by prayers though, so we actually put the iphone rosary app on and put it on the pillow next to his ear.
I have a friend who constantly sends me forwards, some of them really old retreads, some highly inappropriate. I just glance and delete. She is rabidly anti-ozero and some of the mailings are just racist. There are so many earned things to hold against him, his half race is not one of them.
WHOOSH! That was the law talk soaring over my head, and I don’t care. I’m just tired of idiots who have no real experience doing anything useful being in charge.
i don’t have anyone like that, luckily. his race is totally irrelevant to his iniquity.
cliff notes version: you can’t raise an argument on appeal that hasn’t been raised below. you have to make ALL of your arguments at the very first level, you don’t get to think of new and better ones as you go along.
