Kool.

"A managed herd of Reindeer make their way from the foothills towards the Arctic Ocean each spring."

Who Zamboni'd the River?

You’re looking at an ice road. I’ve been on it — it runs hundreds of miles. When it’s cold (say below -30*F), which it is most of the winter, the surface has as much grip as concrete. There’s a fair bit of traffic on it — including ice-road truckers. In an ordinary 4X4, you can go at near highway speeds. In a big truck, you have go slower to avoid punching through the standing wave the vehicle creates under the ice.

BTW, without taking anything away from the majesty of the video, some migrations have many times more caribou.

Yeah, I could tell that it had been plowed or/or brushed and had some kind of longitudinal grooving(not sure if that is an artifice or intentional).

A nice flat road.

So where do these reindeer get their food? It looks frozen and barren out there.

Good time to cross the river, when there are no crocodiles around. The wildebeest in Africa aren’t so lucky.

I modified an old joke:

“Q: How did Canada get its name?

A: They wrote all the letters of the alphabet on separate pieces of paper and put them in a hat. Then they had a naming drawing, complete with local commentary.”
