Lawyer of stabbings suspect Alex Hribal: 'All the students liked him'
cnn ^ | Thu April 10, 2014 | Dana Ford

It would seem no one saw it coming -- not his parents, not students at his school.

Described by his lawyer as "a typical young kid" who has "never been in trouble," 16-year-old Alex Hribal shocked the people in his life and the nation Wednesday when he allegedly went on a rampage at his high school in Murrysville, Pennsylvania, stabbing or slashing 20 students and a security officer.

No one knows yet what might have motivated the attack.

But pieces of Hribal's story are starting to come together, so far painting a portrait of a teenage boy no one ever expected to show such violence.

"He's a typical young kid. He's a B+ student. The family is like Ozzie and Harriet. They have dinner together every night," said his attorney, Patrick Thomassey.

I realize that one never looks one’s best when being arrested on charges of attempted mass murder, but still - this kid looks like there’s something seriously wrong with him.

Look at the eyes and blank stare. Same we saw on Adam Lanza and many others in recent times.

Willing to bet that it eventually comes out that he was being treated for depression and on medication.

Was he on Ritalin or Zoloft? Look up the side effects of drugs like this, taken by millions of children with immature brains. It’s a wonder there isn’t a violent incident in a school every day of the year.

I still have trouble understanding how this could happen.

No 5h!t, whats he gonna say, that the kid is a demon seed that needs to be lobotomized?

Good Lord, look at the pic, this kid has obviously got serious issues. Where's the parent(s)?

Re medication:

My thoughts too.

But - the blank stare could also just be the fact that he’s scared sh*tless right now, maybe just coming to grips with the magnitude of the crapstorm he created.

Speculation, is all we have until the facts come out. Something snapped him, and we’ll find out.

Freaky picture, though. That’s a haunting face.

“being treated for depression and on medication.”

Or stopped taking said medication.

Maybe Dr. Phil can help.

How so?

Anything’s possible, friend.

How can a mother strap her kids into the family Toyota, and drive it into a lake?

How can another young mother drown her children in the bathtub, one by one?

There only explanation is “Sh*t happens” because evil exists in the minds and hearts of people.

This is just a product of the great sickness of American culture.

The malevolence side of our culture used to be hidden and seldom spoken of, particularly in front of children. But now, thanks to Obama and his crew of liberals, homosexuality, perversion, drugs are all right out in public view.

Children are not only not shielded, they are targeted with schools telling them how to embrace their immature sexual urges.

Schools that used to tell children to avoid strangers will soon be telling them that it is a stranger's right to molest them because said stranger was simply born that way.

That well may be so. I think that the fly in the ointment was that he did not like all of the students.

Liberal society as a whole is demon possessed...and they think it is perfectly normal and recommend it to all.

Well, lets see what the neighbors and other students in the school say, this lawyer sounds like he’s trying just a little bit too hard to me.

he doesn’t look like a big kid.....were there no football players or wrestlers or farm boys to knock this guy down before he attacked all those people?

Maybe if we weren’t busy creating victims someone might have tackled the kid and ended it a lot sooner.

When I was in school back in the 80s some idiot tried stabbing a girl in the hallway. In the space of about 3 seconds he slashed her arm and raised the knife over his head to stab her and had a half dozen students on top of him on the ground.
