Washingtonian MOM magazine’s new profile on White House Press Secretary Jay Carney’s wife is getting a lot of media coverage — just not for the actual profile.
It’s the pictures found within the piece that are stealing all the attention.
In one of the accompanying photos, two framed Soviet-era propaganda posters are clearly visible.

I didn’t even realize this was supposed to be an “authentic” picture; if one can ever use the word “authentic” with anything put out by this W/H. The first time I saw this picture, I thought it was some sort of advertisement.
It looks so ridiculously staged... The color-coordinated pajamas, the egg caught in mid-flip with a perfect yoke, right down to the artistically strewn blueberries, and what is with all that fruit covering the countertops. Who has that much fresh fruit in the house at one time unless you’re having a party.
Looks like a Gorbachev bust on the bookshelf too. Anyone else see that?

sounds like the poster is a reference to Hillary.
Of course, it’s staged. For starters, you can’t get light and stop action like that from a home interior shot without off camera strobes and light modifiers. There’s probably at least three of those set up just outside of the frame.
Obviously they don’t invite Moochelle to their house. Look at the mountains of food.
I like his sister pointing at him while he flips the egg as if she is saying “Gosh mom, look what he can do!” It’s just as phony as it gets like everything else involved in this administration. It’s just that once again they were too stupid, they forgot to remove the communist posters in the background. So while they tried to create this idyllic image of the perfect family, in the background is mass murder, pure evil of the worst kind. Let me say: If I was ever invited over someones house and I saw that stuff hanging on their walls, I would immediately rip it down and most likely get into a fist fight with whoever lived there. That’s how offensive I find this.

And who the heck flips a fried egg like that? There would very hot oil flying everywhere! Ouch, Ouch!
With a good non-stick pan, you can do that without a lot of oil. I have done it. But a kid? That stretches it a bit much for me.
Hmmmm. I had an English Muffin and banana for breakfast. Go figure.
