Carlo, I agree we are definitely on the same side of the aisle. I’m not trying to argue with you, I just am disagreeing with you. :)
I am not ready to raise the white flag and compromise again. I think there are a lot of businesses that shouldn’t be in business. If a business can’t stay in business without hiring illegal aliens, they shouldn’t be in business, period. Every business that hires illegals and every citizen that hires illegals to do their yard work/housework are part of the problem.
We need to force illegals out, while at the same time forcing people off the government dole. All we need is a candidate with the guts to say it.
I should have said we need a candidate with the guts to say it and the cajones to follow through with it.
Elyse, I don’t want another word to be written without a clear understanding that I HAVE EVER INDORSED ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION, that would be a lie, and to intimate so is outrageous..
Where are you and I differing? Maybe except you feel we should close small businesses the hire Hispanics, and I am astounded at such a statement.. Do you think we hire Mexicans or any Hispanic that we know are illegal? WRONG, and I speak for the greater majority in my industry..
Every employee we hire has to have a Social Security Card, and a picture ID issued by a state agency.. Otherwise we couldn’t issue a payroll check with withholdings..
They may be illegal but how would we know if they have the documents? If we refuse to hire on suspicion, I would be sued out of existence.. I know where you are coming from, and I assure you we are together, we hate the massive illegal influx, flowing across the pores boarders, unchallenged..
My post is to insure we have a safe flow of legal workers, and a better relationship with those that are legal in our favor, nothing more, nothing less..
