Lou Pelletier, Justina’s father, has released a photo of a portion of an incriminating letter he says Justina wrote and snuck to them during one of their recent visits. The Pelletier’s weekly visits with Justina are closely guarded and monitored by the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families (DCF).
Obtained from Personhood USA and reported by TheBlaze, the haunting letter contains insight as to how she is being treated while in DCF imprisonment.
“‘They hurt me all the time push me all the time and more,’ the purported note from Justina Pelletier says. It also says ‘[they] do not let me sleep vary [sic] much. ‘Hury [sic]!’”

“She’s being allowed to be tortured in this country, I’ll leave it at that.”
The Pelletiers have been cautious about being too outspoken because of prior backlash from the DCF.
Rev. Patrick Mahoney, the Pelletier’s spokesperson, said in a statement….
“‘This shocking note reveals for the first time, in Justina’s own words, how she is being abused by Massachusetts DCF. The Pelletiers are devastated to see how their daughter is being mistreated while under the custody of the State of Massachusetts.

Fourteen months ago, when she was removed from her home, she was taking part in ice-skating competitions and living an active life. Under the care of DCF, she is now in a wheelchair and can barely walk. She has not been allowed to attend church, and has not been given her individualized education program which is required by federal law.’”
These alarming statements should raise the ire of every parent over the egregious violations of civil rights being inflicted on Justina and the Pelletier family.
On Monday, Linda and Lou Pelletier filed a Habeas Corpus pleading with the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court against the unlawful detention of their daughter, Justina Pelletier.
The Petition argues that DCF has no authority to hold Justina and that DCF’s actions violate the constitutionally protected rights of parents, among other things.
The detailed Petition and Memorandum of Law requests that Justina be released from the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families (DCF) and be returned to the custody of her parents, Lou and Linda Pelletier.
The Liberty Counsel legal team has been diligently working on this case. We believe this is a battle worth fighting on behalf of the Pelletiers and parents nationwide!

In “progressive” America, when parents disagree with doctors and the state steps in – in too many cases the state acts as though it has unquestioned superiority over the parents’ rights.
This case comes down to the simple fact that new doctors at Boston Children’s Hospital, who had no experience with Justina, came up with a different diagnosis than her expert treating physicians at Tufts Medical Center. The state cannot take children from their parents when the parents make reasonable choices for their medical care. This case is outrageous.
Bureaucrats who arrogantly believe they are god-like and know what’s better for children than their parents have visited all of these nightmarish scenarios upon the Lou Pelletier family.
Every parent and grandparent in the nation should pay careful attention to what is happening in this outrageous case!
For whatever reason, this story is getting next to no traction here. I wish I knew why.
For what ever reason this story chills me to the bone.
The officials that be in this case legal and medical would know the meaning of the word wrath when I got through with them.
If this is true, and I don’t doubt it, she will never see freedom again. They can’t have her out there telling the public that she was tortured. As of now they can simply say she’s lying.
We need a few thousand cowboys to show up, rescue her and take her home.

I mean, this is the kind of **** that only stops when the idiots responsible for it are made to pay some sort of a personal price.
Possibly because folks here know that Massachusetts has sunk to such depths of moral/ethical/legal depravity that there's literally nothing that can be done.
Do something to abolish the doctrine of Parens Patriae, or quit complaining. Children do better with their own parents on average than with government, and there won’t be any in-between.
I can only speak for myself, but the story gets no traction with me because Justina's mother looks like a flaming example of Munchhausen's Syndrome by Proxy (or whatever this syndrome is called today).
This doesn't mean I put any trust whatsoever in the State of Taxachusetts, nor in Child Protective Services, nor in doctors, nor in hospitals, nor in officious social workers. On the contrary, really, because I have been on the receiving end of abuse from some of those entities myself.
However I have also seen mothers who make their children sick, because of their own extremely disordered personalities. Often the fathers in these cases go along with the delusional mother for the sake of keeping relative peace in the family.
I'm sorry for the daughter, and also sorry for the decent but naive people who have gotten sucked into the crazy scam, like Mike Huckabee.
I’ve yet to see any evidence that this child should be anywhere but with her parents.

If this is true and that is where she was placed I doubt she is getting physical therapy.
She’s not in the psych ward at Boston Children’s Hospital anymore. She was transferred to Wayside Youth and Family Residence in Framingham, MA. I would have to go back and search, but there was an article on the Blaze about it where the judge ordered the transfer and for her to be allowed to see and be treated by her original doctor, Mark Korson at Tufts. He was the doctor that originally diagnosed her with mitochondrial disorder.
