NOTE: On the message board was a discussion about the 24-year-old girl who died of an apparent drug overdose at Coachella.
The story is referenced here - http://pitchfork.com/news/54842-coachella-attendee-dies-after-collapsing-at-festival/
What is interesting is that some were mocking the poor girl's death. It turned into a political discussion with me saying I would not mock her death but would certainly mock someone evil, like Castro. Here is one of the most staggering responses, which shows what the left has done to the education system in this country:
"Pretty sure when you weigh it all out, Castro is responsible for more positive effects in the lives of those who love him than Kimchi made in her short existence."
Quite a cesspool, huh? But we were all young music and rock fans once, right? At least we actually understand the Constitution and rule of law. These fools of today’s public schools have no clue.
Yes, Hitler loved dogs and was a vegetarian.
Yeah, they’ve been thoroughly brainwashed, that’s for sure.
There’s just an ugliness and a venom about some of them now that I believe comes from rejecting God. Shoot, back in the ‘80s when I was a young thing and out going to music festivals, I don’t remember coming across people like that.
He also loved nature and hated cigarettes.
Doug, I don’t think Liberty was kidding and am glad he asked. I had NO clue what a “Coachella” is. I knew of a town on the way to Palm Springs with that name, and that was about it. How Castro is related, I still can’t figure, other than perhaps another CA town, Castroville. Given that this is the biggest musical festival in the country, it’s not as well known as locals think. I’ve heard of the SF “Hardly Strictly Bluegrass” fest, but never heard of Coachella.
It all began on that chat thread with the story of the 24-year-old girl who died of what appears to be a drug overdose. Drugs, heat, and dehydration is a very bad combination. She was stupid but did not deserve to die. A few people on the thread were making light of her death and I commented that she and her families deserve sympathy and prayers, rather than mocking. I save my mocking for those who do evil such as Kim Jong Il and Castro. Thus began the Castro discussion.
Thanks. Yeah, young and dumb shouldn’t warrant a death sentence. 99% of us outgrow that. Eventually. Can’t imagine the family’s grief.
What are Castro’s good points? The time back in the 1940s when he struck out a batter to win the game?
I assume there are lots of Cubans whose life has been better than it would have been had he never come to power, if only that of officials in the government and other supporters. And there are probably a LOT more who believe their life is better, whereas in fact it is not necessarily true.
