And if so what did everyone think? I kinda like "Bletchley Circle(kinda chickified though)".

Don’t care about watching British telly as long as Joffrey is dead.

Bletchley, Downton, Selfridge, all good. The new Sherlock Holmes was also excellent. The British-produced stuff on PBS is very well done. I never watch the Friday night crap on PBS (news, commentary) but the entertainment and some of the documentary programming is pretty good.

My husband and I liked it. I hope there will be more episodes released on Netflix.

I enjoyed the first series of Bletchley Circle, but I haven’t seen the second one yet. I’m a big fan of Foyle’s War, too. Looking forward to the next season of that.

Well,it is about a flock of chicks in a culture that did not expect them to accomplish much. Yep, that culture really existed once--it's not a lie or exaggeration.

Wife and I watched Season 1 on Netflix. I thought it was pretty good.

The ladies involved would obviously in today’s world have been top software engineers or other scientists. In the world of their time, their opportunities were strictly limited. Kinda sad, really.

For all the problems of our society, which on net I think is headed down the drain, it is in some critical regards more just and free than that of 50 years ago.

The biggest problem with the series, IMO, is the notion that mathematical analysis can predict criminal behavior with any kind of reliability. This was a big flaw in the TV series Numb3rs.

I haven’t watched it, but I do watch many Brit series via Netflix and other means.

I added the tier with BBC-America last year. I am kind of disappointed with it. It runs too many American made movies, which seems to defeat the reason for having it. Right now, PBS runs more Brit series and BBCA does.

I do have The Bletchley Circle in my Netflix queue.

We watch BBC shows at least 3 to 1 over American stuff. Their production seems to be first rate. I even liked the British version of House of Cards over the American one.

Oy! I must be a monarchist!

If you like irreverent comedies check out ‘Hyperdrive’ on Netflix. The critics hated it we were in stitches.

We watch a lot of British TV on Netflix. Mrs SV and I both felt that the first episode of “Call the Midwife” was very anti-family. Kids are a regarded as a punishment. We haven’t bothered to watch another episode.

I visited Bletchley Park in 2007, so when the first season of this series aired, I watched it, and enjoyed it. I was hoping they would do a second series. I’m a female, but I don’t watch it because of that. I love British mysteries. Nobody does history documentaries, and mysteries like the Brits!

We’ve watched “Call the Midwife” and really enjoyed it. I love Miranda Hart...truly funny gal. Look for her own show “Miranda” - you’ll laugh until you wet yourself.

Downton Abbey is the very best, just excellent. Call The Midwife is good; Foyle’s War is too, but think that series has ended. I watched it on Netflix, so not sure about that.

Mr. Selfridge and The Paradise (series ended) are both good except for the occasional too-liberal bent.

British shows/movies are usually so well done. Great acting, script, production. First-rate.

I am a big fan of British shows. But lately, I have tried some other foreign shows. Once you get past the sub-titles, they are pretty good. Fave at the time is Maria Wren, a police procedural from Sweden.

I cannot wait for the Outlander series on Starz this summer. I don't have cable, so I hope I'm going to be able to get this some other way. I've read all the Outlander books and this already looks like a really good rendition: http://www.starz.com/originals/outlander/videos/video/379

I hear the plan is to cover one book per season.

Really enjoy Downton, tho this last season stumbled a bit for me. We have also enjoyed Selfridge. Sherlock has been awesome for the most part.
We have also enjoyed The Paradise.

One other one we liked was Land Girls about women from the cities sent to work the farms during WW2.

Will have to try Bletchley....
