We’re going to monitor social media going forward so that we can try to get ahead of them as quickly as we can and intervene and try to make sure those illegal crowds do not converge upon a crowd and become a threat to anyone,

No wonder the public is turning against the police. They neither protect or serve anymore. They "surveil" and suppress.

The chief better check with the ‘Governor’s Highway Safety Program’ (full sarcasm intended) and see if he’s allowed to pull cops off the fish-in-a-barrel patrols outside bars and those East German-style checkpoints.
