The Japanese look at ice cream differently from us, and already have unusual tastes by our standards. So, you get fish ice cream, all manner of strangeness. Every now and then a winner pops out of all the weirdness, for instance ginger ice cream or pumpkin ice cream. But most of it is unpalatable to us, even if they love it.
I’ve had pomegranate gelato before.
Japanese have crazy ice cream flavors.
