now just imagine this joy times a million the day we are reunited with our departed pets.
Nice story. Thanks!
Two cat household here. One was a shelter cat that we had chipped as a kitten. The other just showed up in our horse barn.
Declawed, starving, deaf, an old timer, obviously an indoor cat. He was likely a drop off as we live at the end of a no outlet lane. Only nine houses within a mile. We had to take him in.
Both are wonderful little guys.
Poor Kitty.
Hope no hard feelings about the other day. I was just teasing you, not trying to pick a fight!
Well that settles it for me. Let’s put ‘em in EVERYBODY
We chipped our desert lynx. When we got our 5 year old rescue Dachshund, we chipped him too since he wanted to run off. Our old cattle dog is glued to Mr. Mercat. No risk of him leaving. Except at our farm I think he may be getting senile because he sometimes wanders off into the pasture and just stares into space. He’s 15.
My cat was born at the barn. Her Momma rejected her after her eyes opened. My wife bottle fed her and she almost didn't make it. My wife returned her to the barn when she got big enough. My wife and I separated and every time I went to feed and water the chickens she would crawl up in my lap. I had to bring her home here at the apartment. She went from flea infested, skin and bones to one of the coolest cats I've ever known. She's my buddy...
Keep close eye of the Cattle dog.
We had a elderly beagle wander off for two days .lucky my niece spotted him with across town.
thanks for
the photo.
we had a Siamese cat that would bring home really elderly cats who would die within a few weeks.
a unique little animal.
Nice image. It would also be nice if the story bothered to report whether Charlie the Cat remembered her prior home and people...
IB4TKP (In before the Kittyping!)
WHoops, meant to respond to you. Thanks for the ping!
My last cat escaped into the wild in Yosemite National Park. Im doubting she ever came anywhere to civilization after that.
Thank you.
Charlie can haz cheezburger!
Charlie can haz anything Charlie wants!
That’s a happy cat! Look at his paw...
I am so sad. My feral kitty lived outside for 10 years. We talked and visited everyday. She moved herself inside about a year ago. We had a blast. She was so smart and funny. I adored watching her and loving on her. About 3 weeks ago...she just dropped dead in the kitchen. I’m still shocked. I’m like...So you live outside for 10 years and avoid the owls, coyotes and every other predator...but come inside for 1 lousy year and croak? Not fair for either of us.
I’m pretty much a dog person and my dogs live to an old age so I’m pretty well prepared when they depart. I think I am more distressed about her death than I have been a pet in a long time. I admired her outside “smarts” and ability to transition to the inside And the fact that she finally accepted me. Dang little kitty.
