I just have a passion for severe weather...I had travel reservations to leave from California to OKC today to chase this setup, but at the last minute, I pulled the plug because of the uncertainty.

It really looks like the focus has shifted to the Arklatex region for Sunday...and this area is horrendous for chasing storms. In fact a well known chaser just posted this:

WORD OF CAUTION: If you’ve never chased in the south or chased at all, don’t start this weekend. The models are indicating this system is going to be a very fast mover with extremely powerful storms. I’ve heard chatter that even NWS is extremely nervous and SPC has the High Risk ready. The storms are going to be the big boys that kill people. I’m not trying to crush anyone’s dreams but this is going to be a very bad weekend. We’ve stocked extra gear just in case and will be working with FOX6 in Birmingham. The south is full of trees folks. They kill people all the time. Don’t let yourself become a victim. Stay weather aware and keep your weather radio close. Don’t depend on social media to warn you.

Halo66 is right, all the ingredients are coming into place for a major tornado outbreak from Kansas to Tennessee and Mississippi between now and Tuesday. There have been no tornado deaths in the USA up to today, the latest into a year since records have been kept. I hate to say it, but the streak will end within 48 hours of me posting this.
