I’m with you. I don’t watch much pro ball any more. Fortunately the local high school team is fun to watch (though not particularly good). Not a bad way to spend a Friday night eating brisket, drinking sweet tea, and listening to the home town crowd
High school and college is where it, the game, started. (the first college game was played in 1869 and the pro’s didn’t get going until 1892 and barely at that)(NFL started in 1923)
I’d rather have a non-pro team playing its heart out, with good or not-so-good results, as a bunch of thugs playing for millions of dollars.
