Jordin Tootoo of the Grand Rapids Griffins gives away his stick to a young fan. Watch the kid's priceless reaction:
That’s cool.
Awesome!
LOL, it took him a second to realize it was real
MANY years ago, I went to University of North Dakota hockey games. A UND player gave me a stick too. I reacted much the same way. I think I slept with that stick.
A great memory to have.
The first time I took my wife’s young son to a sprint car race was great. It was quiet when we got out of the car and started walking to the gate but a car got out on the track for qualifying and his eyes got as big as dinner plates as he heard the sound echoing across the fields.
My wife was afraid he would get tired and want to come home before it was over. When the races got over at 2 AM he was still going strong and jabbered all the way home and didn’t get to sleep till 4 AM.
Awesome!
I wish the avs got as excited to use their sticks in playoffs!
1. Jordin Tootoo is generally accepted as one of the biggest A-holes and dirtiest players in the NHL, but this goes to show you how different so many of these players are off the ice.
2. No matter what his reputation was, I've always thought it so cool that he wore the uniform number 22 ("Tootoo") wherever he played. LOL.
Love the Grand Rapids Griffins.
When my oldest son Griffin was born someone unknown to me sent an e-mail to the team telling them I named my son after the team. I received a huge box from them with congratulatory
letters from the coach and GM, pennants, beanie griffins, a very small t-shirt, a stuffed griffin and a game jersey (verrrry nice!)
