A “light saber” is one that doesn’t weigh too much.

The attack on the Death Star at the end is taken from "633 squadron". (Seriously. Watch it. The situation and scenes are almost identical. Even the dialogue is pretty much the same).

Really? I'm going to have to look this up. I always thought the final battle scene of Star Wars was a mashup of Battle of Britain (which also has surprisingly similar dialogue) and The Dam Busters.

Isn’t it amazing/pathetic that those short CGI clips for SW:TOR have more power in their images and performances to tell a compelling story than the six-hour entirety of the prequel trilogy?

Storyline and plot are eternal. Special effects are a function of technology. 633’s only seem bad because we’ve been spoiled by the recent rapid advances in CGI. And at least 633 squadron had real aircraft to work with.

I'm not the only one who's commented on the similarity.

Lucas has even acknowledged the similarity. Here's another with the dialogue reversed the other way.

If only they would cast Cumberbatch as Thrawn; even if they tweak the timeline so that he becomes a threat after the kids are present, he’d still be a better addition to the stoyline than all of episodes 1-3 put together.
