I discovered the company when I did the “anti-boycott” over the owner’s comments about homo’s.
I was flabergasted at just how good their chicken is. I also really love their shakes. I don’t eat there much only because I really try to avoid fast food.
I am not a big fan of the food but still go to support them Good company good people
And the COO will never, EVER, disparage homosexuals again by actually championing marriage, even on his own time.
Wow, gotta love it! /sarc
Never ate there.. Yet. Wendy’s is closer.
How ya doing?
We be six months out from a 21 day asian Princess fling, 17 days at sea, two in Singapore and two in Beijing.
The chicken sandwiches aren’t amazing, they’re OK. The waffle fries are pretty good. The milkshakes are pretty good but no where near the best in the business. They’re probably the best chicken place in FF, of course that has a lot to do with how simply awful KFC, Popeyes and Churches are. Best FF in America I’d probably vote Rubios, good Mexican seafood with beer.
How much does a Chick-Fil-A franchise cost?

If you’re short on cash, you’re in luck. You only need $5000 to get in the game at Chick-Fil-A, but you have to get in line to be considered for one of these Mega-Brands. Chick-Fil-A franchise only selects 75 to 80 of the 10,000 applicants they get each year. If you are still interested in Chick-Fil-A, read on.
Chick-Fil-A franchisees enter the network through a narrow corridor. In addition to a mandate for Sunday-closings, Chick-Fil-A will also be requesting approximately 50% of your store profits. Here is how it works... Chick-fil-A pays for the land, the construction and the equipment. It then rents everything to the franchisee for 15% of the restaurant’s sales plus 50% of the pretax profit remaining. In other words, Chick-Fil-A takes 65% of your profit. Most franchise companies take 8%-10% of gross sales.
Although the company considers you a franchisee, it will feel more like a partnership to you and only those willing to follow the rules are invited. Chick-Fil-A wants experienced professionals with good credit and high ideals. Training is described as a multi-week, extensive training program that has to be completed prior to opening, and you can’t be involved in any other business ventures before, during, or after applying.
You will not own the land on which your Chick-Fil-A franchise sits, nor will you own the building nor will you be allowed to select the location. Chick-Fil-A carries a thick rulebook and a big stick when it comes to their franchises, but smart investors with little capital won’t mind. Store closings are practically unheard of, and you should end up retiring with an incredible nest egg to make up for that initial goose egg. So, if you have a little cash, and want to hold hands with this giant, Chick-Fil-A may be the right opportunity for you.
And here are their growth areas:

I love how there’s one in the student union on the U of Mn campus. In the belly of the beast.
Hey, I think that’s joke.
LOVE CFA! Just wish the hope and change didn’t break my pocketbook!
RE: I love how theres one in the student union on the U of Mn campus. In the belly of the beast.
Well, there’s one in the New York University food court. Then speaker of the city legislature, Christine Quinn ( a “married” lesbian ) threatened to use her power to oust the franchise.
Didn’t work (yet).
Reason #11. They gave all three of our daughters their first job. None of them grew up to be bed wetting liberals.
Their Banana Pudding shake is to die for!
I like what they stand for. I think Kentucky Fried Chicken tastes better, but they have a Grilled Market Salad with crumbled blue cheese and Honey Sesame dressing that’s really pretty good.
11. Staff. At least in my experience, they have genuinely friendly, honest, kind, decent people working there— no signs of apathy, profanity, tirades, or thuggery!
But what about the liberals, and people such as snarky liberal visitor Adam Smith, who lectured the girl who works there that this is a horrible company with horrible values?
What about Rahm Emmanuel who discouraged Chick Fill A from Chicago, because they don’t represent “Chicago values”?
Good for you, here’s to el nino not stirring things up too much.. I would do another panama canal if I’m around, waiting on the new locks to be completed,, which may be awhile
