viatical [vahy-at-i-kuh l, vee‐]]

hear it pronounced

adjective

1. of or pertaining to a financial transaction in which a company buys life insurance policies from the terminally ill at less than their face value and may sell the policies to investors: viatical settlements.
2. of or denoting a road or a journey
3. botany (of a plant) growing by the side of a road
4. of or pertaining to a viaticum.

viaticum, noun

1. Ecclesiastical . the Eucharist or Communion as given to a person dying or in danger of death.
2. (among the ancient Romans) a provision or allowance for traveling, originally of transportation and supplies, later of money, made to officials on public missions.
3. money or necessities for any journey.

Origin: 1555–65; < Latin viāticum, neuter of viāticus, equivalent to viāt ( us ) (past participle of viāre to travel; see via, -ate1 ) + -icus -ic; cf. voyage

i mean the rest of the letters describe various permutations of queer so that adding a Q as a separate category is redundant. i KNOW you think it lines up better with “Ps and Qs”, but i made the same point with fewer letters and avoided redundancy.

What do you mean “redundant”?

I think it means repetitive or unnecessary in an excessive way. But that's not important right now :)
