U.S. Should Send Astronauts To Space Station By Trampoline: Russian Official
universetoday.com ^ | April 29, 2014 | Elizabeth Howell on

“After analyzing the sanctions against our space industry, I suggest to the USA to bring their astronauts to the International Space Station using a trampoline,” wrote Dmitry Rogozin, Russia’s deputy prime minister, in a Russian-language tweet highlighted by NBC News.

The jibe points to the fact that only the Russians can bring crews up to the space station right now. Rogozin also linked to a story in Russian RT where he is quoted as saying (if Google Translate is correct) that the Americans will see a “boomerang” of sanctions laid upon Russian officials.

Too bad the undocumented Tyrant destroyed NASA,
and sent its best, from pursuing SPACE
to helping Moslems appreciate themselves
and their murders of innocents.

Who could have predicted THAT?

Øbozo is like a kid driving a Kenworth semi tractor with a burnt-out clutch - he’s got tons of horsepower at his disposal but incapable of putting it to practical use.

I’m not especially happy that every new day brings more derision and disrespect upon the country I hold dear.

Øbozo must go!

These Russians are turning out to be real cut-ups.

But then Obama and his gang of demented college marxists give them so much material to work with.

The country is going to pay a terrible price for its willful ignorance and mistake in electing this clown. The full cost of this debacle will not be realized until we have to survey the damage. We may never recover from it.

Yeah, let’s turn over orbital space to the Russians.
What could go wrong?

He couldn’t have been that dumb or naive.
Obama did this intentionally.

Obama is playing right into Putin’s hands, and is not wise enough to realize it. Even if he was, I don’t think he would care.

If its bad for the country, Obama is for it.

This was predicted a month or more ago.

The 0bama administration is slowly diminishing the capacity of our country to protect our interests. We are living in dangerous times.

I’d say that is a fairly common scenario for Obama.

Did anyone see that all of our carriers are in a port? None are at sea.

Hi.

Did anyone see that all of our carriers are in a port? None are at sea.

Do you have a source for that? Thanks.

First thing lots of us thought of when this whole s*** storm started and Obama began making his petty gestures to "punish" Russia. The disabling of NASA's ability to independently put astronauts into space was beyond short sighted and tantamount to treasonous sabotage. Add in what has been and is being done to destroy our nuclear and conventional deterrence and military forces and the pattern is clear enough.

"Leading from Behind", besides being a workable definition of cowardice, means putting our policies and fate into the hands of the nations which over the past 100 years managed to stumble themselves into two world wars, several genocides, self crippling policies of free immigration by feral savages, unsustainable socialist utopian economic models, and about 100 million dead (so far). As an early example of carrying Europe's water we can even point to our little adventure in Indochina as an attempt to repair the damage left by France's colonial mishaps. Now we're apparently listening to their advice on how to slap a bear on its snout. The same bear we maneuvered ourselves into relying on for access into space.

Pathetic.

The only parts to the ISS the Russians launched was Zvezda, Zarya, Poisk, and Pirs. We launched the rest of the ISS aboard various shuttle flights. They wouldn’t have that nice palace in the Heavens to enjoy were it not for us and OUR ability to do the bulk of the heavy lifting. They need to STFU and leave the politics on the ground. We, OTOH, need to hurry up and build a man-rated launch vehicle and return to the glory days of NASA launching crews aboard our own vehicles from our own launch sites. If the Russians want to hitch a ride on our vehicle, let ‘em. Oh, there will be a nominal fee for that priviledge.
