Humans evolved to wear cowboy boots. Primates walk barefoot.

Norm, no kiddin', my Tony Lamas, a half-size smaller than my regular shoes, are the most comfortable choice for any long-on-my-feet occasion. If I'm going to spend a day in the theme park or walking around the fairground or something like that, I've learned: my cowboy boots will have my feet feeling just great at the end of the day. They squeeze the foot and that nice slightly well-under heel of an inch or so really gives good foundation and grip for pretty much any gait. Ten hours at the races, my feet are fine; ten hours in tennis shoes or flops, and my feet are ailin'.

I had a pair of (of all brands) SEARS boots that I wore for about 5 years. Worked in them, played in them, GOT MARRIED in them to the great tizzy of the inlaws. Pure comfort.

They finally just gave up the ghost. I have yet to find their equal.
