I was just browsing Gainesville coins for the first time in quite awhile and they have replicas of 45 ACP in silver. Also have it in 50 BMG, though that is quite a bit more (and sold out now).
Thought I would share as I ad never seen these before.
Think I saw a 30mm some place too. Fun to keep but I think it would be harder to prove it’s purity if you decide to trade/sell.
20 mm rifle/cannon for sale! $9995.00
Could this be a subliminal message, that America needs,
“The Lone Ranger” of olde, and not the PC-crap job that hit the cinemas, lately? (True, it is a .45ACP, not a .45LC.)
“The Lone Ranger” of olde, a bulwark of what American ideals and traditions of The Old West, used to be, before all the ‘get-alongers’, and homosexuals got involved?
Or is it, that the once-symbol of a righteous man, righting wrongs under the law of The Old West, a ‘grey man’, if you wish, is now nothing more than a ‘precious metal caricature’?
Henry Bowman? That you?
;-)
You could always pull the bullet and move it to a nickel plsted LC case.
I believe that the entire cartridge is one moulding.
Ah... looked closely at the pic. You are right.
Um, I’ve seen too many of those on GunsAmerica, and have handled one, too.
For a “pocket gun”, I’ll take my Model 850CIA, in .38 Special.
However .... for a .45ACP, IWB, I’d take a nice SandW Model 21, with full or half moon clips.
Yet, for .38 Special, it is my Model 15, or a USNAV Victory model.

Always wanted one of them.
Ping for later. One of the reviewers on the site said he actually cycled a round thru his 45 to see if it would work and it did! LOL!
Nice little 638! Thank you for the picture.
Now .... a little secret that you might not have explored.
All the plainclothescops in the ‘50’s, with their Model 36’s, Model 40’s, and Model 48’s, carried plain simple wadcutter loads. Not those turned around ones, just standard factory wadcutter loads. Lighter recoil, quicker second shot recovery, no 50/50 on a JHP ‘failing as advertised’ or not.
I carry standard wadcutters for the first load, with standard non-HP semi-wadcutters in the speed strips.
One more secret for you. If you remember the ‘Civil Defense’ authorities, they issued SandW Model 15’s, and the loads were full wadcutters.
I wish you well.
