By dawn on May 14, the moon and Saturn will be low in the west-southwest, the moon having moved to within 2.5 degrees to the lower right of the planet, according to SPACE.com.

The full moon of May, also known as the Full Flower Moon, will take place on Wednesday, May 14.

North America won't be able to view the exact moment of the full moon, which will take place at approximately 3:16 p.m. EDT, according to Earth Sky.

From the southern half of New Zealand, Antarctica, and Australia, the moon will occult Saturn on Wednesday night.

If past history is any guide, Saturn will re-emerge unharmed from the occulatation.

But it will still be Bush's fault.

If you’re reading this in western North America, you can see Saturn now just to the left of the (full) moon, and by about 0500h PDT the moon will be just below Saturn. This is why the occultation is only seen much further south (actually why Saturn will not be seen for the duration of its occultation). The Moon is below the straight line from earth to Saturn as seen from north of the equator, but moves through that line as seen from the southern hemisphere.

Change one letter & rearrange to go from the mythical Lord of the Rings to the Solar System’s LOTR…

(And again to get the name of another planet, then again to get the Japanese name for a well-known star cluster AKA auto model ;)
