GARY, Ind. - The Gary City Council has decided to allow a councilman to keep his position while he spends three months in federal prison for failing to file federal income taxes.
Council members declined Tuesday to force Ronier Scott out of office but did vote 8-0 to withhold his pay while he's in prison.

Isn’t it illegal for a convicted felon to hold any public office in Indiana??
He plead guilty to misdemeanors.
