Didn't know that. I interviewed with Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah a few years back. Thought the area was beautiful and the people quite pleasant. Really wanted to move there to get out of Illinois --- now I see that'd have been moving from one liberal hell-hole to another?
Well, at least the winter weather would've been more tolerable than here in Shitcago.....
It is one of the most beautiful cities anywhere, & one of the most historic. Liberalism has it in a stranglehold, however. They have more ordinances than Bloomberg’s NYC, including not allowing anyone to have a fire in their own fireplace. [I give this only as a near-random example; there are so many ordinances it’s wonder ppl are allowed to breathe.]
Then there was the time I thought I’d drop in on the Savannah newspaper’s chat site. Sure, the paper is way to the left of the NYT, but even the Times has a few conservative posters on its comment pp.
Not so the Savannah Morning News. I was hit with an indescribable phalanx of far left moonbattery. It was unlike anything I’ve experienced—& I lived in the bluest of blue states, MA, for two decades. MA is downright conservative compared to the ppl who post on Savannah’s main newspaper site. Wow. I’m rarely shocked, but that qualifies as one of the times.
You dodged a bullet. Best to live somewhere in the larger vicinity—Brunswick is OK—& drop in on Savannah to visit occasionally. (I toured what is supposedly an authentically haunted house in Savannah not that long ago. Apart from the fact that the tour guide all but whispered his commentary, it was great.)
