FULL TITLE:

Infant girl dies of starvation after her parents replaced her formula with water and cereal to save money

A suburban Chicago couple was accused Friday of the unthinkable – starving their infant daughter to death.

Markisha Jones, 19, and Gene Edwards, 22, both of Barrington, were initially arrested January 8 after paramedics called to their home found their seven month-old daughter Mya dead on the dining room table.

They were found to have replaced the child's precious baby formula with water, cereal and the occasional glob of baby food, sources told the Chicago Tribune.

Kids having kids. Odds are the grandmother is in her late 30s and the father is a distant rumor. The destruction of traditional black families by liberals touting Great Society welfare programs isn't something that's going to be solved easily or anytime soon.

At the link there’s a pic of the so-called man taking a selfie with a phone. He has a phone, but his child starves. Public hanging would be good in this case.

Yea they did but let it lapse. No one is sure why. Plus you have to figure there are local food banks they could have gone to. This is America after all.

I think we should all express sympathy for the judge who is going to have to clean up this mess.

I am surprised you could find that much formula, I had trouble buying enough for much more than a month. If I lived in town I could have kept buying on different days- but I live in the sticks. I would usually have to get a manager to get more out of the back for me to get a month’s supply- they usually only had a few cans on the shelf. I only bought the largest size canister and the store manager told me most people only bought enough for 3 or 4 days at a time, so that is how they stocked it. Yikes! I did get way ahead and ended up donating the extra to a battered women shelter, it really was appreciated.

“My daughter was breast feeding but the stress dried her up.”

That is an unfortunate situation. I find it strange that most women don’t even consider breast feeding to begin with or that society as a whole is so against it. Formula is great as a back up but really the breast was developed by God for the baby, sorry guys but that is the way it is.

I’ll play devil’s advocate here.

He/she could have had the tats for years before the child was born?

Photos are cheap/free these days. All one has to do is point/click with a cell phone and upload it on the computer. Not like the old days when one took a roll of film to a Kodak box to develop.

Twins in the same crib? I’ve heard of it after all they are twins and shared the same womb. Some parents do it because the babies are so close they don’t want to be seperated and wine when they are.

However not getting food stamps and making the babies sleep in a cold basement when they were upstairs where it was warm? Yea that pretty much tells me they did not give a ____. If they were that poor and did not have heat most parents would keep the babies in bed with them! Most parents would be at a food bank or church soup kitchen. I just don’t know what is wrong with these two.

That much buying ahead could have been a catastrophe if the baby had been allergic to it. It does happen.

Retroactive Abortion. Nothing to see here.

The child does not have a right to life until it is old enough to vote Democrat... Three-and-a-half or so...
